Joose Jeskanen wanted to do something new in the summer, and a summer job as a mobile advisor sounded interesting. Joose’s job was to encourage new and existing co-op members to activate S-Mobiili and to offer concrete advice to customers on how to use the app. In addition, he was able to help with matters related to using S-Bank's services.“The best thing about my summer job was meeting customers and being able to genuinely help and solve their problems. In addition to Sokos and Prisma locations, I also worked on the S-Biili tour, which took me to new places with amazing co-workers”, says Joose. For work as a mobile advisor, it is important to be up-to-date with the latest technologies, and user experience of the applications is an advantage. “My best memory from the summer job is helping a customer use S-Mobiili so well that he came back the next day to thank for the service he received. Senior customers were also often very talkative, so I had a lot of good conversations with them, and they were very grateful for my assistance and technical support with their smartphones.”As a mobile advisor, you can develop your customer service skills, and language skills are an advantage.“As a workplace, PKO suited me well. The work was pleasant, any preferences regarding the work were taken into account, my supervisor was really nice and gave me a lot of positive feedback. What surprised me about the work was that I met foreign customers every day and was able to put my English skills to good use.” Joose currently lives in Jyväskylä and studies on a preparatory course for medical school entry test at a Folk High School.“In the future, I plan to study medicine at university, and next summer I will very likely apply again for a job as a mobile advisor at PKO!”Published in 2024.
